This year OCPS introduced a new learning management system to our students, Canvas. Don't worry- it's here for at least the next 5 years! The great thing about Canvas is that our students can access many (or all) of their resources in one place--even if they have to miss class for some reason or another. There is also access for parents to keep up to date on your child's progress and assignments. For my students, I have built in the link for our online textbook to the site as well, so it really helps streamline the essentials for each day--including access via your phone (there's an app for that!), and/or your home computers and tablets (no more--I forgot the assignment at school/home).
Any questions or help navigating, please ask! We are all adjusting to the new platform, but there are great things on the horizon.
Students may access their textbook through their school-issued laptop, or any other digital device. They access this through LaunchPad, McGraw Hill ConnectED, and Florida Health student edition. They are a wide variety of interactive tools, projects, activities, and study games that they may use throughout each topic. Any assignments that are due will show up on the right side of the screen.
If anyone has issues accessing the textbook, please contact me!
Having updated contact information and/or any health considerations is extremely important. Please be sure that you have filled out this form for our records. Thank you!!!
